African Bush Elephants

These are African bush elephants (Loxodonta africana), the largest land animals on Earth. Here are a few key facts about them based on the image and general knowledge:
- Size and Features: Adult males can weigh up to 6 tonnes and grow over 3 meters tall. Both males and females grow large tusks, which they use for digging and defense.
- Ears: They have very large ears, which help them shed heat in hot environments.
- Habitat: While they live in various habitats across 37 African countries, the majority are found in southern Africa.
- Conservation: African elephants are vulnerable to poaching for their ivory, and their habitats are shrinking due to human activity.
Bayeux Tapestry

This image is a scene from the Bayeux Tapestry, a 70-meter-long embroidered cloth created in the 11th century to depict the events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England.
Specifically, this scene shows the first panel, where the Anglo-Saxon king Edward the Confessor is seated on his throne at Winchester, instructing his brother-in-law Harold Godwinson to travel to Normandy. The Latin text above reads, “EDWARD REX,” meaning “King Edward”
